Unused concert ticket
from Albee Theatre in Providence, Rhode Island.
This is an awesome find and one of the most difficult bands to find a ticket or even a stub from.  I bet you've never even seen a stub from The Animals, much less an unused ticket!  You will likely not see another!!
House of the Rising Sun had been out for about 18 months already but this band had a slow start and it took several years for their popularity to catch up to them.  Hard to believe that album was released in 1964.  This was still a period so very early on in the rock and roll scene.  The British invasion was just unfolding and adding to the American rock scene that started it all a decade earlier.
Things were just starting to unfold and blossom in the mid to late 60's, so much was yet to come. Not only the highly popular Beatles and Stones, but also other bands like The Who, The Kinks, The Beach Boys, The Zombies, The Monkees, Mamma's & Pappas, The Doors and Jefferson Airplane.  In my opinion, this was the best period of rock and roll.  This would last over a decade but then pretty much fizzled out by the late 70's.
